my Sigma 18-200mm lens

I was looking at clubsnap forum this morning in class when I saw this fellow selling his Sigma 18-200mm lens for $550, he claimed that it's in mint condition and warranty card is still unfilled (meaning 12 months warranty is still there). The retail pricing is around $799, hence I decided to expand my lens collection by contacting this seller. Everything happened very quickly in the morning. After some negotiation, the lens was sold to me at 500bucks. Everything is in good and working condition.

Sigma 18-200 HSM OS
Finally! After so long! I finally get myself the first lens!!

The lens is equiped with optical stablizer(for shaky hands)
and hyper sonic motoring for focusing.

Reason for getting this lens is mainly because of the wide zoom range it's able to cover. The current kit lens that I have for Nikon D60 is only 18-55mm zoom range. I always felt that I'm limited by this zoom range and often complain of it.

This Sigma lens has made my puny dslr even heaviler.
It's like having small body with big head.

On the left is the lens resting at 18mm. On the right is the lens zooming to 200mm.
At 200mm, the lens becomes fricking long.

I think it's hard to understand why such zoom range is good for multiple purpose usage.
Here's a test shot.

On the left is 18mm(27mm equivalent)
on the right is 200mm (300mm equivalent)

I know this lens is not as sharp as my 18-55mm lens.
Hence I shall bring my camera out this saturday for some test shots before deciding whether to sell away the 18-55mm kit lens.

On one note, I realise this lens is indeed noisy when OS is on, as what was emphasis by others in forums.
